Fees, Official Charges and Third-Party Costs
Version 1.1
On this page
This page explains which cost in an order belongs to whom, and when an additional charge may arise.
1. Three separate types of cost
In TaxKolay orders, costs are separated into three headings wherever possible:
- TaxKolay's service fee. What TaxKolay charges for preparing the transaction, expertise, coordination, follow-up, documentation, or accounting and tax work.
- Official and government charges. Fees charged by a state, Companies House, a tax authority or another public body.
- Independent third-party costs. Fees of a Registered Agent, address, verification or other relevant independent service provider.
Where a third-party or official cost is included in TaxKolay's service fee within a package, it is shown clearly as "included" at checkout.
2. Collection
TaxKolay may collect official and third-party fees from the customer in order to pay them on the customer's behalf. This does not make TaxKolay the public authority or the third party itself.
3. Costs that arise later
The following items, where they could not reasonably be foreseen when the order was placed or become mandatory later because of the specifics of the customer's file, may be quoted to the customer separately:
- additional government fees,
- expedite fees,
- reapplication fees,
- additional verification fees,
- third-party charges,
- additional service fees.
For consumer transactions, no additional fee is charged automatically without the reason and amount being explained and the necessary express consent obtained.
4. Exchange-rate differences
TaxKolay does not retrospectively increase its own service fee on a completed order simply because exchange rates have since moved.
However, if the fee set by a public authority or third party in its own currency has changed by the date of the new transaction, the current mandatory cost is borne by the customer.
5. Refunds
Amounts actually paid to a public authority or third party and which cannot be recovered may fall outside a refund to the extent permitted by applicable law. Details are set out in the Cancellation, Refund and Withdrawal Policy.
6. Invoicing and payment records
The service invoice is issued to the customer by TaxKolay LLC. Payments may be taken through Stripe. TaxKolay does not store full card numbers or CVV data.
7. Governing language
The Turkish version of this document prevails. The English translation is provided for information purposes only; in the event of any discrepancy between the two, the Turkish version applies.
